NAFTA

Clinton bristles a bit at being asked the question first. Well, she's to the left (where she's sitting) and she's first in alphabetical order so of course she's getting questions first.

Obama makes the connection to fair trade and consumer protections.

Being the second to answer gives that person time to prepare their answer while the other is speaking. Also, the second speaker is able to react to what the first speaker said. Hence, the first speaker has the more difficult position.

You would think that, as moderators, they would know to mix it up. It just looks fairer, in addition to the points you brought up.
